Ships in the Dark: On the inadequacy of cruise ship safety measures in the time of Covid-19

This report examines the shortcomings of cruise ship companies in light of the Covid-19 global emergency – using Venice as a case study. We hope that this challenging period will bring about positive change in the form of cruise ship companies taking more responsibility for the well-being of their passengers, crew, and the residents of the cities they profit from.
