We Are Here Venice ETS is committed to reducing the gap between research and practical solutions, supporting those who live in, visit, and govern Venice in placing the well-being of the city and its lagoon at the center. Both are vital to Venice’s survival.
WahV’s activities focus on three dimensions of impact:
New Solutions
We analyze the challenges facing Venice, sharing information and raising awareness on urgent issues that affect the city’s well-being, so that the community can actively participate in identifying solutions → Languages of Value.
Lagoon Regeneration
Regenerating the lagoon is essential to mitigate climate change, protect biodiversity, and improve the quality of life for residents of the city and surrounding areas. WahV co-designs concrete solutions together with institutions, experts, and citizens to support the sustainable development of Venice → Venice is Lagoon.
Scientific Research
WahV integrates scientific expertise with local knowledge. It produces and disseminates objective analyses to support decisions and policies based on up-to-date and accurate data → Exchange of Knowledge.
A central element of our impact strategy is the Theory of Change, which guides the planning and design of our actions. Planning according to this approach means moving intentionally toward a desired vision of transformation, starting from the final goal and working backwards to identify the actions and resources needed to achieve it.
